1. Can you guess the shortest and longest video we’ve ever made?
Although most videos we make typically fall into the 1-10 minute range, the shortest video we ever made was 6 seconds. And the longest was over 2 hours!
2. Who is our longest standing client?
We’ve had the privilege of having many long lasting relationships with our clients. When we look back at our records, Catholic Charities of Broome County has been our longest standing client! We started working with Catholic Charities in 2010 and are grateful to continue helping them share their mission.
3. Where is the furthest shoot we’ve done from our “home base”?
Riveo Creative is based in Upstate New York with the majority of our core team being in NY or PA (and now one member in Scotland!), but we work with clients all over the country and world. The furthest shoot we’ve done from our home base was in India! We worked with the Rubin Museum in NYC and used our virtual studio to remotely film Indian percussionist, Sivamani.
4. How many states have we recorded videos in?
As stated before, we work all over the country either with a video crew on location or our remote studio. We tried to figure out all of the states we have worked in and came up with 36 different states! However, there have been A LOT of projects in 15 years so we might have missed some!
5. How many videos did we make last year?
The Riveo team was a bunch of busy bees in 2023 – we made over 280 videos! That means finishing a video roughly every day and a half. That also doesn’t include all of the other projects we worked on and other content made during that time!
6. How many videos have we made in total?
We tried to calculate all of the videos we’ve made over 15 years, but that ended up feeling impossible! We currently have 2,997 videos on our Vimeo page dating back to November 2010, but we know there are many more. Maybe by the time we reach 20 years we will have found the time to count them all!
7. In 2023, we had our biggest rebrand from White Knight Productions to Riveo Creative, but how many “rebrands” have we had over the years?
We added it up and we think we’ve had 5 distinct rebrands/refreshes over the years! The biggest being WKP to Riveo Creative and the second being White Knight Images to White Knight Productions.
8. While thinking about all of the changes our company has gone through, what did the company originally start out as?
I know it may seem like 100 years ago, but do you remember using film? When we started as a company, the main service we offered was transferring film to a digital format. Soon after, we started offering video services and then expanded to the full service marketing company that we are today!
9. How much money have our videos helped raise for clients’ fundraising campaigns?
One of our favorite ways to help our clients is making videos and other content to aid with fundraising. Although our videos and marketing always garner long-term success, fundraising allows us to see the positive impact our videos can have straight away. Over the years, we’ve helped our clients raise more than $40 million! Whether it’s for community outreach programs, scholarships, mental health support, or other causes, it’s so rewarding to know we had the opportunity to play a role in helping these organizations gain the resources they need to make a big impact.
10. How many remote shoots did we do in 2023?
In 2019, we launched our virtual studio that allows us to record high-quality footage anywhere in the world via a smartphone. Since then, it has become a fan favorite with our clients as it’s not only convenient and cost-effective, but also more sustainable! Although in-person shooting is required for certain projects, oftentimes, remote shoots are all you need to get the job done. In 2023, 83% of our shoots were done remotely! Think of all the travel and carbon emissions this saved!
11. When did Riveo Creative become a certified Women-Owned Business?
We first got our New York State WBE Certification in 2016 followed by our WBENC and WOSB certifications in 2023. In addition to being women-owned, our core team is 80% women! Unfortunately this is still a rarity in the video production industry, but we are determined to help lead the way of increasing inclusivity and diversity in our industry.
12. How many awards has our company received?
Riveo Creative is an award winning video and marketing company with over 20 awards!
13. What was the first video we ever did?
Our first ever video was made in 2009 for the New York Board of Elections. It was such an honor to be recognized and selected by such an important agency for our first video job! And in honor of them, we want to remind you to remember to register and vote in the 2024 elections!
14. How many animals have been featured in our videos?
You might already know that at Riveo Creative we love our animals. We have two Chief Cuteness Officer’s (CCO’s), Mona and Goose, who have been the stars of many videos. But we tried to figure out what other animals we’ve had featured in our videos. Our current list includes: Dogs, Cats, Horses, Mini Ponies, Chickens, Ducks, Pigs, Donkeys, Bees, and Deer. If you want to help us expand this list and feature a cute animal in your videos, let us know!
15. What is the most amount of interviews we’ve done at one event?
During the Goldman Sachs Summit in 2022, we interviewed 94 people over two days in our video booth! That doesn’t even include the interviews our other videographers did on site!
