When Athena Marketing International (AMI) came to us, they were ready for a brand that matched the caliber of their work. We kicked things off with a deep-dive branding workshop to uncover their story, differentiators, audience personas, and voice. From there, we looked outward—analyzing competitors and market positioning—and inward, evaluating what was working (and what wasn’t) in their existing brand.
Their signature green and purple already helped them stand apart and symbolized growth, creativity, and wisdom. However, the shades felt dated and a little muddy on screen. We refreshed the palette with bolder, more contemporary tones built for the digital world. We also replaced their high-contrast serif type with a modern, rounded sans-serif that feels human, approachable, and easy to read (no squinting required).
The logo got a thoughtful evolution, too. We kept their distinctive initials but refined the letterforms for clarity and balance. Instead of the overused globe icon, we introduced a compass rose as a symbol of how AMI helps clients navigate the complexities of global markets. Moving the icon beside the wordmark improved scalability and made the system more flexible.
With the new brand in place, we brought it to life across a series touchpoints: a refreshed capabilities deck, one-sheet sales tool, case study templates, an export-readiness checklist lead magnet, social media banners and templates, and a website update in collaboration with Hop Studios. The result is a brand that feels as strategic and forward-thinking as the team behind it.
